Relationship Coaching for Families

Family Relationships happen between this loved one and that loved one and more and more loved ones.

Sometimes these relationships are easy, and sometimes they are not.

We are compatible with some of our loved ones, and sometimes we are not. Incompatibility between parent and child can sometimes lead to a parent not liking their child. Still loving just not liking. Incompatibility between parents over parenting style can happen, too. Each parent comes to parenting with a different history and life experience which influences one’s own perspective.

In life, things happen and sometimes emotions run high.

All parents want the best for their children, and they want to be the best parent possible. Even with those desires there are still some family struggles that can prompt big emotional upsets, such as:

  • Differences in communication style.
  • Differences in temperament.
  • Expectations not realized.

As you might imagine, if the parent is not happy with family life neither is the child.

What can be done? A parent can:

  • Leave things as is and hope that with time things will get better. Sometimes they will.
  • Work towards making family life better.

Deciding to change how the family functions is sometimes easier and faster with a coach to guide the process during which you will discover what helps and then find ways to do what helps.

Parent coaching is not therapy. Therapy TREATS emotional wounds and can be a much-needed family resource. Coaching acknowledges the past, and then CREATES a plan with the parent for moving forward.
